Can someone please give me the low-down on the ls1 and ls2 engines....how much horse....what comes stock with them....what they can go in...

The LS1's are the 5.7s and are in the 98-02 camaros and 97-im not sure when vettes. Stock they push out around 300 ponies give or take a few. The LS2's are the 6.0s and is in the newer vettes, silverado SS's, and trail blazer SS,s i believe. They have around 400 horses give or take a few. Im sure thats right but i could be wrong.

Yes, Thats about right. But the real deal is the LS6 ( I think ) that's in the new Z06 Corvette, 428 cubes and 505 ponies.

 

You mean the LS7, the LS6 was in the C5 Z06's, the LS6 was basicly an LS1 with better heads and a little better cam.
