LS1 Cam choice question.

Hey everyone,i need suggestions from your personal experiences with this.I have a 1998 Camaro Z28 LS1 that i just bought LS6 heads,LS6 Intake and throttle body and injectors used off a Z06 Vette with low mialage.I also need to choose a cam that will be best for my engine and upgrades that i have such as SLP Lid,SLP catback exhaust,3:73 gears.Which size cam should i put and if i have to get better springs than the LS6 ones i will do that.

Thanks Brad.

JK I'm sorry I had to... punctuation changes everything haha! "there is a dog eating chicken" " There is a dog-eating chicken"

But anyways... I'm an amateur when it comes to selecting cams... it's my next mod but I don't know. Maybe my two replies will start up your thread...

Well I've researched a little bit before, and LS6 springs are MUCH better than stock (says everyone on the internet) So it for sure depends on which cam you are going to get. And I would say that the first step in selecting a cam is figuring out exactly what you want. Mild? or WILD!!?!?!

If it were me, I would just go ahead and get new springs and do it 100 percent right the first time to avoid any headaches. You might have the heads still off the car right? I would swap the springs while they are off the motor because swapping them while they are on the car seems like it would be a pain.

Like I said this is a fairly new subject for me and I hope I'm giving good advice and not just talking out of my butt haha...
