Well what are you starting with? if you are starting with an LS1 then you will just about have everything you need after you buy the LSX engine from SLP. I would go with the LSX intake over the LS1 intake the rest of the goodies will be already on your engine. You may want to consider upgrading the clutch or TQC to handle the extra HP you are going to be putting out.

Yeah bro, you have absolutely no starting point for the build that you want to be listed. How much money do you want invested into this build? The best value block to start off with would have to be the LQ9 6.0 liter iron block. These blocks are pretty inexpensive and can be built in to be a very nasty motor. One time, I found a complete rebuilt LQ9 in my area for $1500! Sadly, I passed on it.

i was gonna start with the lsx block from jegs for 2500 then go from there i have a 93 z28 but im gonna buy a 98-02 z28 cause i can pick them up for cheap. if i can use most of the ls1 parts and just buy internals like cam crank pistons and such then this build just became more realistic. most of these camaros for sale here have high mileage so new clutch is a must maybe even have trans rebuilt while i got the motor out. thanks for the info guys
