I was 15 when I bought my 84' Z. and now I'm 18 with a 98' Z. Still got the 84' too. Livin' large.

 

It's amazing to see so many people with a 300hp+ car who can't get into R movies, lol.

I got a question for the 18 under crowd, How did you manage to afford to purchase such an expensive car on a highschool students salary? When I was 16 I made $90 a week at a used appliance store. My first car was an 80 toy tercel I got for $450. By 19 I was pullin down $21,000 per at St. Louis Auto Shredding. I see what late model Z28's and SS's go for and I can tell you I never had that kind of money when I was 16,17 and 18. Hell I'm 31 now and I still could'nt swing it.

 

I personally got some help from my parents, they put 3000 towards my car(same amount they put towards my sisters car a few years earlier, so it was only fair). I took out a loan on the rest and paid it off in 6 months. The car was 6000, so I got a great deal(it only had 37,000 miles on it when I bought it). I've had a job since I just turned 15, so I'd been saving some and all the rest of my money went towards the car after I had the loan.

 

i'm 41 and i own a 78 camaro built from the ground up with a 454.

 

I turned 16 in October and i got a 2002 v6 camaro with 33k miles, it was in between 14-$15,000.

 

21 owned my first camaro at 17. 1980 just bought my 02 z28 two weeks ago
