2000 ss w/97 front end.. wanna swap 2000 back on
So what im picking up next saturday is a 2000 ss w/ slp package... 3800 miles on it. The car was wrecked in 2000, front end was totaled. Ths guy i bought it from In NJ, bought the car back in 2001 and swapped a 97 front end and subframe from a 97 he bought that was a theft recovery. He did all this work over the last 10 years, and now cant register it in nj cause he needed the reciept from the donner car, otherwise the assume the car parts are stollen.. So long story short, I want to switch to the 2000 style front end. Would i need the whole front clip. I basically want to know what i have on the car that will work with the 2000 front end.. are the fenders and the radiator support the same? Any help is greatly appreciated

you pretty much just need the outer body pannels and a couple of parts for the engine. Hood, Fenders, headlights and all brackets, fender brackets, bumper cover, foam bumper core/absorber, foglights and brackets, plastic parts under the bumper, and the airbox for the LS1 engine. These parts are easy to get a hold of and should not cost that much. Most wrecking yards will sell you all that for around $300-$500 if you pull.

P.S. Any 98-02 will work for the body parts, you will only need to get the airbox and lid from the LS1 car.
