Any of the Long tube headers will get you about the same HP, but some will look better for longer. Kooks is a great company and thier headers are stainless steel but at nearly $1000 a lot of dough. My set up consists of Flowtech long tubes and 3 inch y pipe (both ceramic coated) they cost $500. Then I have a Random technology cat back, it's not too loud but under WOT sounds pretty good. I went kinda budget on my exhaust system but the results were good, I don't make anymore HP with the cut out open than shut which tells me that my system is good for the 400 rwhp that I have.

I agree with the headers, but Borla has my vote for the best cat back adj.

Borla makes a quality product, exspensive but good quality. Personally I don't care for the sound of Borla, but sound is a matter of opinion. Check out www.ls1sounds.com there are lots of sound clips there of different setups.

I personally took the Kooks route. I have Kooks long tube headers and a kooks dual high flow cat Y pipe, it comes a a price premium but more than worth it in my opinion. The headers fit in nice and close to the bottom of the car so you don't loose much ground clearance, and the quality is almost insurmountable. After the Y I have the stock exhaust over the axle, and then I have the muffler cut out and have Hooker resonator tips on the end. The whole system sounds pretty nice, and the only thing that I really have left that I'm going for is a 3 inch all the way back(the Y is a 3in. pipe). If you are thinking of staying emissions legal(which was a deffinate consideration in my application) you really can't beat the Kooks route(and www.speed-eng.com , a site that sponsors the forum, often times has online sales on Kooks products, bringing cost down).
