Default drag radials..

hey guys wondering what you recommend for drag radials, i think i am going to stick with a 275/40/17. i dont like aftermarket wheels and corvette wheels are quite pricey so 275 is as wide as i can go on a 9inch rim. i hear bfg drag and the mickey et are both a good tire. also what do you run for pressure.....i really need something for traction i am crossing at over 112-113 but 60 times are awful! 1st and 2nd gear are useless.thanks for the help

i hear the MT's are one of the best drag radials you can buy. i've heard of people hitting a 1.4 60' with them. i might but a set soon.

I hit a 1.54 on a 17 inch BFG dr. of course thats with a Yank 4000 stall. I went 1.81 when the car was a 6 speed. Unfortunaly the T56 has a rather poor 1st gear ratio and it makes launching the car a *****.

i got two runs in the other night on street night which was overloaded with way too many imports. anyways i pulled off a 12.7 with the new tires and a really bad start. it hooks up great now i just have to get used to the tires with a few more runs. confident i can take at least a 12.5. my 60 was 2.1

YOU COULD BE MAKING A BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!!! I don't mean your choice of slicks it's just that the stock diff on these cars are not that strong. I've heard many horrer stories that once they put slicks on theirs Camaros the first time they hooked up the guts shot right out. If you don't want to get stuck in track I would suggest holding off for a little while on those slicks and acctually saving up for a good rear. I love these cars to death but that is the only thing I would change on them. As much as I'm a Chevy boy the Ford 9" is the best diff to go. Out of the thousands of stories I've heard about the 9" I've only heard of them breaking less then a handfull of times. Other then that the MT's are the ****
