Can Someone "PLEASE" tell me how to remove my door panel 2000 Camaro?

I have posted threads in the stereo section with no luck. I need to replace the passenger door speaker in my 2000 Camaro. I have the panel loose but the door lock & Rod are keeping me from removing it. How do I get it loose??? I'm on the verge of breaking it. Please Help!!!!
Thanks!
ED

you did not say if the arm rest was off? that's first. from my knowledge of camaros the next step is taking the plate ***. off from around the door lever, it probably will snap off with a small screwdriver. the whole door panel should come off without messing with anything inside the door, I know you should not have to break anything, I had a problem doing this on my 84, but would be more then willing to take a closer look at my 01 if you still have problems.

I just had to pull my passenger door panel off for the same reason on my 2k. There weren't any clips, glues, or anything mechanical holding it on. I would just try jiggling it while you try locking and unlocking the door until it just falls off. Once its off you'll see how it goes back on.

I was able to get the panel loose enough to get the speaker out but was unable to get it all the way off. The plastic piece that houses the door lock and window switch is where I had the trouble. Without removing the door lock rod I could not get the rest of the panel off. I was afraid I was going to break something if I tried to pop the rod loose.
Thanks for responding and helping me out!
