Trickflow heads are $1200 assembled alone. The cam will probably be $200-$300, then you need lifters, pushrods, and rockers. LS6 intake new is a little under $500 the cheapest I've seen.

 

My buddy was going to sell me the trickflow heads, fully assembled, he only used em for 300 miles before he blew his LS1 up, he went to a 408 stroker..The LS6 intake I already have.

 

Oh then you should be good if your getting a good deal for them.

 

I think you should complete the engine swap first. Get it running smoothly then upgrade from there.

 

Well I don't wanta pull the motor back out as I'm going to be driving it every day. I can't bum my parents vehicle to work on the car. I was going to do Cam/heads/intake then go to one of my buddies to get it tuned.

 

Headers, exhaust, gears.

 

What he said...no point in doing a cam until your car can breath and make use out of it

 

you can do an exhaust and a cam for your budget IF you can do the work yourself. Keep in mind, guys are hitting over 400whp cam only (with supporting mods ie exhaust, headers, injectors, fuel pump)

The best thing you can do is going to be to get the base of the car setup. Get the exhaust done, make sure the car is running 100% before you start throwing mods at it. The cam, intake, heads etc can be done when the motor is in the car, the worst thing you can do is throw a whole bunch of parts at it, put it in the car and then try to diagnose why its not running right. I would say, save your money, get the motor in the car, make sure its running correctly, THEN start buying parts, by then you should have more money saved up and can buy more/better parts

 

Ill just do exhaust and intake for now. lol
