2002 window wont roll down

RE: 2002 window wont roll down
I just replaced my window motor on my own camaro not even 3 days ago. First off your going to need to get your door panel off and and take out the door speaker. Your going to notice that there are four rivits holding the motor in the door. Note that the motor is also rivited on a rail system your going to have to get the whole rail system out of the door in order to get the window motor off itself. After you secure the window from moving you disconect the rail from the door your going to have to remove the rails from 3 tracks that its connected to its a little pain but if you move the window up and down it will be alot easier. After you get the rails out of the tracks your going to notice there is a track that goes through the hole on the left hand side of the door thats bigger then the speaker hole remove the nuts and move the rail out of your way so you can remove the whole motor system out of the door easier. Once you do that and you have the motor out go ahead and drill out the rivits that hold the motor to the assembilly but be careful cause the motor is spring loaded so once you drill them out it will spring on you. Then just reassembile the motor to the rail and put her back in your door and check it to make sure it works.

I did both mine by myself and I don't look forward to doing it again. I used rubber hose to jame in the door to wedge the window in place, that's where another person would have come in handy. Good luck and have fun!
