Default True Cold Air Induction 93-97 Camaro

I have a 94 camaro 3.4 I routed mine outside of the engine compartment. Yeah I know my engine compartment is dirty.. Anyways That is actually a cold air intake kit off of this ricer neon. I talked the guy into giving it to me for 10 bucks. And was determined to make it work. Basically from where the stock airbox was there was a hole to provide the factory intake some fresh air.I had to bend the hole with pliers until i could get the tube through then I removed the lower panel that was underneath it and the filter is right beside my air dam.
I also rerouted the IAT sensor down the filter and it sets in the bottom of the intake filter, to provide a more accurate read.
heres some pics. and I dont have any problems with water getting in it at all..

This was experimental... I love the way it looks reminds me of the Gm performance ram jet 350 engine. Sounds awesome, makes a whistle sound like a turbo when it sucks in... but i didnt want all that hot air.

I had fun with his Intrepid. We got it to peel out from first to second and it's an automatic 2.7L v6!

Looks good, but just be carful driving in deep water, as the engine will suck up a big slug of water and either lock up or break something.

Looks good, that's pretty much where my Moroso intake sits, except it's a tad bit heigher, and sits within the splash pannel so there is no chance of ingesting a vast amount of water into my filter.

I didn't.... Like i said it was experimental. but you could just drill a hole into the filter and use like silcion or something to seal it.

I was going to get a green 95 z28 with the moroso. I think that induction system is better than the K&N.

ya, it's pretty nice, unfortunately the people at Moroso need to get their engineering group a car so they can fit the thing right. I spent about an hour cutting and hacking away at the metal mounting piece with a tin snips just to get it to fit into the car, and then, I spent another 30 minutes drilling and tapping holes in my car so I could skrew it in. Maybe I did something horribly wrong...but it fits, and it works, and I can access it from the top(I think the whole peice was designed to be taken out from the bottom), so now I don't have to remove the splash pannel if I want to clean and re-oil my filter.
