Summit Headers any good?
I have been looking at buying a set of Ceramic Coated headers for my 350 but they are usually over $300. Summit has their own "Summit Brand" for $189. It's their $89.00 standard set just Ceramic Coated. I hear that they are built for them by a "big Name" manufacturer but no one can tell me who it is. I dont really care I just want to know if anyone has had any experience with them, good or bad. They are 16 guage, 1 5/8" tubing 3" collector, 3 bolt flange Ceramic Coated and They warranty them for 90 days. Thanks.
Can't say with certainty, but I've heard that the Summit headers are either Pacesetter or Flowtech brand, factory "seconds".
I put on the ceramic coated Flowtech Afterburner headers, and really like them. Their designis a little different, concept sounds good. Theydo perform well forletting my engine breathe. And Summit sells them as well. It's up to you, I've heard about anything from cracked welds to poor sealing flanges on the Summit headers. If that's what you're getting, then no doubt that they probably are factory"seconds".

Thanks for the info, I guesss its the old "you get what you pay for deal". You would think Summit wouldnt want the hassle of dealing with customers sending back bad headers but if they can get them past the 90 days then they make out. I think I'll stick with a good name brand "factory first" set. Thanks again.
