Stage 2 Air intake better?

RE: Stage 2 Air intake better?
Well, the air/fuel mixture may be a little cooler when it enters the motor, which will give a denser charge, meaning a little more power. also, the air being forced in the intake may also give you a little more power. I wouldnt say much more, but you most likely will get a small increase, that you might be able to notice.

RE: Stage 2 Air intake better?
I have a 95 3.4, I recently purchased a stg 2 intake for it, I pulled the stock intake off and noticed there is a small tube that sucks from the back of the intake between the stock elbow and the air filter, its a tiny tube and leads down to a box below the intake,
the intake I purchased and installed does not have an opening in the chrome pipe for this tube that was sucking air from the intake prior to installation of my new intake,
what I was wondering is, what is this little tube, and does it harm anything not being connected? right now its just floating there behind the stg 2 intake sucking air from under the hood rather than from the intake....I can post a pic if needed....

I think i know what you mean, it just takes the air form inside the filter area so it can take in clean air. If it is that important to you to not have it hooked to the intake, you can but a filter breather on it instead.
