Intake Manifold Upgrade

When I noticed that my 94 Z28 had a small oil drip, I was afraid that the problem was the rear main seal. However, I did some research, mainly on the forum here, and it seemed like it was the seal at the back of the intake manifold which makes sense since the car only has 30,000 miles. I checked and sure enough there is definately oil leaking out of the seal at the back.

Anyone, I'm going to have the seal replaced so I figured while I was having that done I would upgrade the intake manifold. I did a little searching online but I don't really know what I'm looking for so any insight or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Unless you plan to to additional mods, such as better heads and cam, changing the intake manifold in your LT1 is not going to make much of a difference, except in your bank account.

It already had a CAI, long-tube headers, and a cat-back and I'm considering mild cams.

By the way, the rear of the intake manifold is sealed with RTV, there is no actual seal.

Ya, found that out from my mechanic yesterday. Definitely where the leak is coming from though.
