What engine do you have? A V6 will never sound like a V8, regardless of exhaust system.

Borla catback exhausts seem to be pretty popular these days. As well as Magnaflow and Flowmaster. But if you really want that muscle car tune, you got to get some headers for it too. It'll give you a nice horsepower increase and in some cases, better fuel mileage.

I've never owned a pair of shorty headers. But from videos it's always seemed to me like the long tube headers are more popular and give a better sound, but that's my opinion. As far as I know, both are a good additons but the long tubes give a little more torque in the lower RPM bands. Any one care to add?

Long tube headers are definitely worth the money! In power increase and tone! I would suggest deleting the cats, getting a Borla XR-1 Muffler and having a local exhaust shop install it for you! That's what I did, except I installed it myself and will be letting a exhaust shop re-do it b/c it wasn't really a great job on my part. But I'll take a video of mine tomorrow and post it on youtube and post a link here!
