Hey everyone...I need some info on replacing my cat and exhaust on my 94 Z-28 with a single cat. First off, what is the stock pipe diameter? Is it 2.5" or something different? Also...I want to keep it legal, so what cat will do the trick without costing high dollar? Which muffler sounds the best...as far as a deep and throaty sound...loud is good to me! Is Flowmaster louder than Magnaflow...or is someone else's better? Thanks for your help!

 

I actually have NO experience with these early 4th gens...I've had 3 LS1 Camaros, and 1 LS1 Corvette, but this LT1 car is totaly new to me...not to mention that I don't want to spend the money on an SS exhaust system...that would be nearly as much as the car is worth...well...maybe not that much...but you know what I mean.

I'm getting the feeling that no one has an opinion regarding which cat and muffler works and sounds good to them...seems a bit unlikely...so come on and let me know what your experiences are regarding these two options. Also...does no one know what the diameter of the stock pipes are? Once I'm ready to order...I'll need to know the pipe sizes so that I order the correct size of cat and muffler...so won't you help out a fellow enthusiast...please!
