hey i have a 2001 ss camaro and i was thinking of doing the free ram air mod but does anyone know if it acually works??? someone here gave me this link http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...sity/index.htmand it seems pretty easy but is it really worth it.

I did it to my 2002 SS and i deffinetly noticed a difference in throttle response. Do it, it's free and fast

slp makes a kit for that. its a vent thing that hangs in front of the radiator and it gets cold air from under the front of the car. i have it. and theres a good difference. expecially on cold nights...... also K&N!!!! gets dirty fast and u will need to clean it alot...

im getting the slp airlid and kn filter, should i wait to get that or no???

what u mean the flo pac from slp? i heard its a waste of money

yeah its the flopac. There is a very slight horepower difference maybe 2hp or so between the flopac and just the free ram air mod. If you want to spend the extra money go for it, but i would put the money else where.

yea im just gunna go with the airlid kn and smooth bellows, but should i wait to do the ram air after i get the lid?

well ur not gunna belive this, i go wit the directions from the site to do it and the previous owner did the job for me i couldnt belive it, that explains why my filter was such a ****box when i took it out, thansk fro all the replys guys i appreciate it
