Electric cutouts - Likes or Dislikes - Actual Experience

I am installing a headers to rear bumper 3.5 inch exhaust to tone the exhaust note down to please the local cops. I am also incorporating electric cutouts for obvious reasons. I prefer to not mention which brand I think I will be going with to not influence the responces. Has anynone installed cutouts on their car? If so what brand and what do you like, dislike about them?

Cut outs

i have a 98 camaro ss with a borla 3" system in it and the way borla has it set up the right side of the exhaust is straight piped from my headers and the left side is forced through the muffler.. as you can imagine if you have nothing in the right side all of the exhaust goes through there. I installed an electric cut out for the right side from QTP and i am extremely impressed with it and i highly recommend it. It has a very strong motor in it..i couldnt turn it when i tried by hand. So far i havnt had any problems with it and it wasnt difficult to wire in at all

I love the cutout i just installed...i knew it would sound good but holy crap!! This thing made a huge difference...i got a flowtech race readie cutout...and you should know that with an electric one you will be replacing the motor all the time

I have used the qtp ones and they work great and have a great sound, onyl problem is they take quite a bit of space. Especially if you use the elbows to direct heat away from the floors.

Good idea. Pictures please!

How did you route the wires to a switch in the cabin? Where did you mount the switch?
