cutout help

im considering buying an electric cutout n have a couple ?'s. would it be better to buy 2 and put one on each side of the y pipe or put a single cutout on the I-pipe? andhow does the tone compare to loudmouth? n lastly what size would i need for stock y? and i have a magnaflow catback what size would i need for that? thnx

Opening the stock exhaust up after the Y isn't really going to get you anything but noise, my suggestion is to save for either 1)A mandrel bent Y pipe or better yet 2)full LT headers and a new Y. The stock Y pipe is restrictive enough that once you have a good cat back on it it's the choke point in your exhaust. If you really want the cutout on it you'll get the best performance if you go for the ones on the Y pipe. I belive for the stock Y you'll need 3" and if you're putting it into the magnaflow you need 3" as well.
