Default Clogged Cats?

hey i just got headers on the car and it has flowmaster 80 series exhaust.this is the situation: for example if theOEM manifolds are more restrictive than the cat convertorsand the flow is opening up at the cats, thisshould be okay forstock performance.but if the cat convertors are more restrictive than the headers, this will damage performance yes?
also it is sounding a little funny, when i am accelerating or going uphilll. i dont know how to exlpain ut but it doesnt sound bad, just not normal.
BOTTOM LINE: is the solution to get high flow cat convertors? or..
thanks.

A high flow converter should improve performance, especially if you are still using the original cat. The amount of improvement will depend on how restrictive the old cat was.

Default Problem!

ok. and now theres something very wierd happening. ok say im in 5th gear at idle going 30MPH and i give it half throttle or more, i hear this clatter causing jerking, matching the rpms. but its pretty violent, and if i do it in 3rd or 4th gear it just shakes, in the same manner.
Header gasket leak?
or clogged cat?
because i have narrowed itdown to either of these.
thanks

It shoudn't shake if it's the header gasket, it just sounds like an exhaust leak.

it is because Flows just make a bunch ofdrone and don't let you hear the engine working over the exhaust

your other problems don't seem to be exhaust related
