does gutting the cat do anything for the sound or what?
i have emissions in my area but my cat is ratteling [:@]im bout to just gut it. also will it pass e-check? and will any check motor lights come on????

on a V6 get a cat (magnaflow cats are 50 bucks shipped new on ebay, cant go wrong)

 

You sure it's the cat rattling? On my old exhaust, I had rattling and it turned out to be a heat shield on the pipe coming loose. Yes, gutting a cat will affect sound.

 

im pretty sure. when it gets warm it goes away. well i have magnaflow catback now, what would happen to the sound if i gut that shyt?

You like the title now? Not as witty as you're meow, but funny nonetheless. I don't know how to describe the sound, other than it gets louder. Probably not a whole bunch, as you have only one cat, but you'll notice it.
