Default Bolt Broke in Head

Blew a header gasket and went to replace it, then found out the last bolt on the pass. side allllll the way in the back is stripped and the next one closer to the front broke off in the head upon removal. Does the head have to come ofr the car to fix the two holes? I now have an exhaust leak out of the last two cylinders on the pass. side...

If the bolt hole is stripped it will have to be helicoiled, which involves drilling tapping and inserting the helicoil. It is pretty hard to do all that properly with the head still on the engine, especially how everything is cramped together.

I know lol, I could barely get my fingers in there to pull the plug wires. I really dread having to pull the head. I had my hopes a little too high I guess...

if you can get a flatspot on the broken bolt, use a centerpunch to get a starting point, melt some candle wax into the hole (it gets between the threads), and go to a machine supply store and buy a left-hand drillbit. once the bit starts to bite into the bolt, it will usually spin right out, and if it didn't come out, you end up with a nice hole to start using an easyout
