Default 2013 SS filter for the desert

Living in Saudi Arabia ensures my Camaro has daily challenges with the heat and the sand.

The car is standard, would it benefit from a performance filter or induction kit?

IMO, probably not, as far as filtration function.
Sand is fine granular particles and aftermarket performance filters have coarse mesh letting the sand through and eventually getting between the rings and cylinder walls.

you might ask local mechanic shops and ask to look at old rings from an engine they overhauled and check the ring sealing surface.
You may notice fine lines vertically denoting dirt into combustion chamber.
