Z28 Vs SS
The SS package was actually first available on the 4th gens in 1996, so a 1995 cannot be a true SS modified by SLP. I could have had 96-97 SS appearance options put on it, but it cannot come from the factory as an SS.
That being said, Specter, the upgraded suspension was a Bilstien "level 2" as apposed to the Z28 Bilstien "Level 1." Usually it meant stiffer shocks and thicker sway bars. They all had ram-air, but it acts like a cold-air intake and only got a slight power gain in '96 and '96, when they went to the LS1 "lid" style intake it didn't do much of anything. After the appearance, intake and suspension the everything else was an option. Some came with a better flowing cat-back, but you would have to contace SLP and they would be able to tell you all the specific options that car came with by the VIN.
Go check out the SS/Z28 section in the 4th gen part of the tech boards if you need more info on this, there tend to be a good amount of this thread [&:]

That '96 and '96 should read "'96 and '97"
so.... are we not in agreement then? for the most part i was just trying to tell him that its a cosmetic upgrade, with marginally upgraded components, but even if i had an SS i would still replace them all all over again with good aftermarket parts
