I have a 93 z28..and on my drivers window control, the passenger window button doesn't work. At first, I thought it was the switch...so I got a used one from a guy in the classifieds, but it didn't fix it...so now I think it has something to do with the wires or the connectors...

has anyone had this problem before?? How did you fix it?

 

nevermind pulled it apart and found the problem...the passenger switch itself was broken...and on the one i got off here was broke too...sooo...i flipped the passenger switch upside down to make it grab the white plastic contact things to make the window work...so its upside down but it works...

 

about to pick this up wed. wondering if you had a moment...106k new timing belt / water pump at 55k, brakes rotors at about 60k all at chevy dealer with receeipts. what should i be most concerned with the z28 at 106k.. so far runs good idles well shifts smooth on test drive. owner said hee puts 1.5 to 2 can freon in last two summers and feels the leak is minor. My research shows me the hose for ac is at the bottom of engine, i will prob replace that if i get it. but like I was saying I am taking to chevy on wed to look it over, what would be some deal breakers for you and are there any inherent problems with this car if you know Sir. its all original accept upgrade exuast and headers.. no warning lights coming on..oh yeah the driver window doesnt go down owner is 99 percent on switch and drivers door mirror doesnt move..how do you get to switches in door/ any special tools? Many thanks I am proff firefighter. owned truck for 10 years new to these cars...

 

hay dawg u can get the switchs at a reasonable cost. glad u got it figured out.

blackwel u need to make a thread of your own. ull get a better response. if the distributor/opti has not been replaced that would be the one thing that may be an issue in the future. the window could be the motor. ussually what goes. mirrors get sticky. with a little help they loosen. or at least mine have on both 93s ive had.
