Can you follow where the hose leads to? Does it go to the evap canister? Brake booster? You find what it goes to you might answer your own question.

 

it goes in to a heat sheild with other stuff. already tried that.. thanks for the tip tho
whatever it is, it alters the way the car runs BIG TIME
it sounds mean as hell when its off lol but i know it most likely isn't good for the engine so yeah
