Transmission - auto to manual and clutch doubts and wheels!
Hi friends,
It's me again and i need some help here. Many Camaros that i saw to sell, have automatic trasmissions. I like these kind of transmission but i prefer the manual one because the maintenance is simple to do and the performance are better. Well, my doubt is basically about clutchs - HAYS - and TREMEC 5 speed from Classic Chevy transmissions. I want to know if i can use this transmissions with the Hays clutch kit. Another thing i still looking for, is the bolt circle of Camaro, because i want to select the wheels and i still don't know these measure. I think it's 5x4,75in, is that correct? These are the same for the 74-75 camaros too? Thanks again and please my friends help me because i wanto to do in the right way. It will be my first muscle car and here where i am can't do wrong. Hey Brother, help is on the way. I have set up about 2400 5-speeds and a Hayes clutch will work fine as long as it has the traditional GM 26-spline x 1-1/8" center hub. The TKO is essentially the same, so far as clutch application is concerned, as a Muncie M22. Let me know if you need tech help, parts or anything else.
