Since I've had the car I have always had problems getting the car to go into second. Since I have no console and there is just a hole in the floor, I can see that there is a bolt that holds the shifter assembly snug against the actual tranny. This bolt is not connected at all. This seems to logically explain my 2nd gear issue (second is the only gear where you actually pull the shifter away from the tranny). How can I tighten this bolt? It seems impossible to get any kind of wrench inside there, just due to the location.
