Tires

well this will be my 1st f body and was wondering what some of you use for tires/ lowering kits. I was thinking going with an eibach pro kit with some nitto neo gen tires on some 17'Z06 whells im picking up for 200 bucks! yea thats a deal i thought. well wheels minus tires lol. Lemme knowsome of your opinions. oh yea 96 z28 bone stock no mods yet auto.

I like the nittos, but i would only buy them if ur going for the DR's. I personally think their regular tires are overpriced for what you get. one thing about sticky tires to remember is you lose some of the fun. fishtails and donuts are a little more unpredictable lol

Lol yea I had sme Toyo Proxes on my 88 conquest that were sticky but I thought it was a bit more predictable. Plus I live in AZ where when it DOES rain its a damn ice skating rick out there and Im not sure on a pure "dry" tire yet. I ha da set of Khomo ESTECA's on my VW but those wore out in one summer...

Toyo Proxes are great tires. I also like BFG's and thats what I have on my car. There is a tire brand called General Tires that I haven't tried, but would like too since I've read good about them. You should also go onto tirerack, its a great resource for researching tires.

What part of AZ you from? I have Falkens. They're ok but next time I think I'll spend the cash for something better.

I'm from Tempe AZ. You?

I've got Radial T/As- they were used when I got them and they're nearly worn out now, but they did their job and did it quite well I'd say. Still, I plan on replacing them with G-Force Super Sports.

It's whatever you want to use it for, I figure. I will say the Radial T/As were pretty easy to have fun with, and not horribly expensive new.

"You know you drive a Camaro when you buy tires in sets of 10. 2 for the front, 8 for the rear." :p
