Default Tire size

I have a 89 camaro with 8 in rims on the back and im looking at getting tires this week and i need an answer if these will fit or not. I am looking at the 275 50 15 street et tires. I need to know if they will fit or not or if i should get a different size.
thanks

i take it they r 8in wide if so yes , if i rember right they will hold up to a 295, but make sure the tire will not be rubbing on the inside wheel well and the outside wheel well. the type of rim u have may also be a facter, I would check before u leave the tire shop, check the clearinces on the inside then as well bounce ur rear shocks make sure there is no contact with the tire or u could spend more money buying another set of tires.

Yes they are 8 in wide on the back. I was just wondering if any one had them one thier camaro before or not. I think that i can make them fit on the inside by pushing the metal in but i dont want them hanging out. The whole reason i want these tires is i want the most tread i can get on the back and only have them 26 in tall .

you are really going to lose some of your handling. anything more than a 255/60 on that rim, you are going to get a lot of sidewall ballooning. a tire of that size should almost go on a 9" - 9.5" rim

also if you try to roll your quarters to make them fit, you are going to ruin your paint. even if you actually use a the proper roller, you are probably going to crack your paint
