Strange problem
Alright, when my car is cold (or relatively cold)
It fires up, no problems good to go.
After it gets up to temp, if i turn it off, it will not start. Its not the starter, as i've changed it from the warm one to a cold one right after i got it up temp. Become rather stumped and was wondering if anyone else had any ideas.
It tries to turn over, but seems to lock up after a half rotation to full rotation.

To be perfectly honest i haven't checked the timing yet, this started during my work week and i've been waiting for a some time off to really get into it. (Overtime keeps on callin) Only 3 hours awake with sunlight doesn't leave for much time to do anything.
It turns over a couple times (If im lucky) never fires, but then locks up suddenly. No matter how many times i try to start it, it follows the same pattern. The distibutor is fine as far as i can tell.
However none of this happens whenits cold.

when was the last time u changed ur batt... if its bad and not holding a full charge or connecters r gummed up it could do the same thing, u know when u run ur batt down then u let it sit for a while then u try again and u have just enough crank to get fired up.do u have a volt gauge on ur dash???? Just my thoughts hope it helps....
[X(] have we recently done a tune up?? reason i ask is that if it ended up timed incorrectly(too much advance) will make it difficult to start (symptom you described) especially when hot. the next thing id look at is battery AND cables AND alternator. you need a voltage gauge!! does the alt. put out 13.5-14 volts when its running?? does battery have at least 12 volts when just sitting?? does the ground cable from the battery go to the engine block and are the connections clean(take them apart and sandpaper them to be sure) and while your at it do the positive side as well. check this stuff and get back to us, if you have questions on these things were more than happy to help kurt
