its a good size dealership do alot more repairs thans sellin cars and its in the richer area of northern illinois so more high end stuff to play with
Northern FIB, your only a few hours away from me then depending on what part of northern your at. Rust will be the biggest enemy other then that if it is a dealer that focuses on it's repair end that means they "get it" and you'll have all the toys that you need to fix things.

Spoken like a true veteran.. SnapOn and MAC are theives. Lets spend 30K on a tool box big enough to sleep in..Cornwell makes some really nice boxes..Personally give me a Craftsman box with ball bearing roller slides and I am happy. All it is is a box to hold your tools. I have had my tool in so many boxes...wait oh that kinda box..

One word of advice. Don't let the Tool trucks talk you into getting everything...

Go threw the dealership, talk with the guys who have been there awhile and find out what they really use all the time. Also check with management and see how much specialty tools they provide. Some dealers have everything, some hang it all on the tech to buy or borrow.

Lock your box every night, things dissapear. Don't let guys in the dealer harp on you if you don't have the biggest box in the shop. I've seen tool wars get silly where guys try to show off with buying the top dollar everything.

One more thing. What is the pay type. Flat Rape, Salary, Hourly, Team system or a combo of those three in some way? That will make a difference on what you'll want to have.
