Default speedemeter problem!!

i have a 1984 camaro. the tires are 225/60/16 which has thrown the speedometer off. does anyone know how to calibrate the speedo so it reads the correct speed? any help would be greatly appreciated. Sal

Measure how tall your tires are or search online for a tire calculator. They are all over the web. Find out your rear gear ratio. then look up a speedometer service place. Either in your area or on the web and you will find the proper driven gear and maybe the sleeve that holds it (there are two different lengths depending on what gear you need).
I used these guys when I installed my autometer gauges
