Default SLP Lid and Air Filter Help

Hey guys I was thinkin about getting the SLP Lid for my 02 Z28. Is this a good idea? I heard its a pretty cheap and easy way to get up to 10 hp. I'm trying to do the little things for more hp at the moment hehe. What kind of air filter should I get for it? Right now I have the stock K&N air filter with the stock air lid. Plz any help guys?

lid and filter will be good for a hp or two. imo not a good choice for almost 200 bones.

im not hating here, i have a v6. just think of this though, even with every SMALL bolt on they make you might get a total of 25-30 hp max. max. (exaust, intake, chips, ram air hood)and everything else. for lets say 2500-3000 for everything installed. yo will still lose to a tiboron v6. i gave it up. i would go buy a lt1 camaro for $3500. they are out there. you just have to look. then you have a good 100+ hp over the 3800.i can say the full exaust might give you 10 hp but it does sound nice. if you still want to sup up the 6 banger. IM SURE EVERY ONE ON HERE IS GOING TO DISAGREE WITH ME.

I don't think you quite understand my post man... I have an 02 Z28. Just in case you don't know what that means I have a 5.7L LS1 V-8. I or anyone else with the same car stock ain't losing to a dang v6 tiburon unless he put a gang load into it, and I mean GANG load.

oh its cool man, I used to own a v-6 camaro before the Z. I saved up all through highschool almost everything I earned to get this car. Man it was worth every single penny. I wouldn't recommend hooking up a v-6 either, ya know why? cause you can do all this crap to it, mod after mod after mod, but there's always gonna be that one simple thing, its a v-6... Precisely why I saved for the Z
