RE: Rear End Oil
I cant remember exactly. I wanna say that it doesnt matter either way as long as you use the proper weights. and since its a posi you will want to get a little bottle of additive as well

RE: Rear End Oil
[&:] while i think synthetics are far superior i also listen to manufacturers when they recommend certain products for stuff they design and build. i suspect that moser wants petro based cause they have designed the clutches or cones in the posi to operate properly, or just like an engine they may want the petro based in there for a break in period, with the friction characteristics of a petro based lube. there may also be warranty issues here. i have not seen synthetics adversly or negatively effect anything ive used them in (best sh*t available) including diffs trans, engines, greases for brake parts etc etc. if it were me id use petro base for the first 10k miles or so and then switch to synthetic. they are just so much better in every way kurt
