Problem with my 95 Z28 NOW FIXED!
The last time this car has been drove was 2001.. recently ive been fooling around with it trying to get it started.. it cranks and sounds like it is going to start but never starts.. I threw some gas in the carb. and tried to start it and it will start only for a few secs then it dies..
My girlfriends dad says he thinks it might be the fuel injectors.. is there anyway i could check the injectors before i go out and buy new ones.. and do any of you have any other ideas on what could be wrong with it?? any help would be greatly appriciated Thanks EDIT: Turns out it was the fuel injectors only 2 where hitting.. after cleaning 6 only 4 started working but now the car runs good and hopfuly some sea fome will clean out the other 2 and get the car running great again.. I would also like to thank everyone that gave there advice i appriciate everyones help THank you everyone! |
RE: Problem with my 95 Z28
Check the fuel pressure with a fuel injection gauge. You really don't want to change the pump or injectors if you don't have to. See the sticky in the LT1 section for the procedure. By the way, your car does not have a carb, and you can't have both carb and injectors at the same time.

RE: Problem with my 95 Z28
sounds like the fuel pump. In most cases, if it started when you put gas/starting fluid in it, the fuel pump is bad.

RE: Problem with my 95 Z28
As I said before, check the fuel pressure, just because the pump makes noise it doesn't mean you are getting fuel. Also check the FI fuses,
