Please help 1986 Camaro

I have a 1986 Chevy Camaro w/350 4 barrel edelbrock. It sounds like it is missing.Have replaced the ignition module, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, checked spark at the plugs and is good. But when running and remove wires from 3, 4, 6, cyl makes no difference in running. What else could be wrong. Thanks for any answers.

Compression test?

Joshmc1986 Apr 16, 2009 08:51 PM

I checked the compression on 2 of the cyl's that appear to be not firing and they are at 150 psi.

If you get spark, fuel and compression you have fire. It might back fire but it has to fire. How did you check the plug? Could the new plugs be cracked? Was this a problem before you replaced all those parts? What do the plugs look like? Black? white? brown?

I replaced the parts trying to solve the problem. Plugs are oily. I checked spark with tester and removed the plug and grounded it. It has a good blue spark. The problem started when my positive battery cable grounded out.
