no cranking condition
Would a bad ecm/pcm cause a no crank conditin during starting? I have a 95 Z28 with a new starter neutral safety switch and battery cause I blamed all of them, but it still won't even click when the key is turned. Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated. The lights come on and the fuel pump runs.

RE: no cranking condition
Sometimes the alarm (or if you dont have one its the passive entry thing) will go haywire. Something I remember about turning the key to on for like 10 minutes 3 times to reset it.

Check the start relay (theft deterrent relay). It allows power to the starter solenoid coils. The relay is controlled by the VATS module.

Maybe thats the thing I was thinking about.

Have you bench tested your starter? Are you sure you have the right wires in place? Are any of the fuseable links popped? You need to get out a voly meter and check some things out! There should be constant power on one, and that feeds two to three others, then when you hit the ignition switch, there should be power to the other wires that go on the solenoid of the starter.
