Default Misfire in carwash.

My car misfires while going through the carwash. Today I went in and covered the ECM with a plastic bag. For the first time it didn't misfire. In the photo (8) it looks like it isn't covered. Just wondering if it's suppose to be covered or not.

Well, most ECMs are supposed to have a cover so water and sust can't get to the electronics. Just how waterproof it is after all these years, I don't know. It sounds like you sould get it looked at. Could happen in a rainstorm, you know.

Your ecm should def. have a cover, also check the coil thats usually the cause of misfires when related to wet weather, you can actually squirt water on it and see if you see it arc.

or just wash your car yourself
