LS1 coolant temps

Default LS1 coolant temps

ive got a 02 camaro ss and the coolant temp gets arround 130 and no more....is this what its supposed to run? im thinking it prob has a low temp thermostat in it.

[&:] it may indeed have a low temp thremostat in it but it may from a thermostat that is stuck open. the gauge circuit is also a possibilty. id find a buddy with some type of thermometer and check to see what kind of temperatures you have at the radiator. this will help give you some direction on the cause of this temp anomoly. if the rad temps are normal look at the gauge circuit, if the temps are low look at thermostat. you should have a functioning thermostat in the car even if its a low temp one, running without one will effect mileage and engine longevity in a negative way. kurt
