lowering springs
You need to buy new springs. You can lower a vette just by adjusting the suspension settings, but a Camaro: we lowered ours about 1 - 1 1/2 inchs with new springs (we raised it again a year later - it looked good but it was too low and it can shift more weight to the rear axle with tall, soft springs like now.
Check JEGS, Thunder Racing, etc. they have spring kits.
And whatever you do: do not let a friend talk you into lowering the car with a torch. Occasionally an idiot will use a torch on the spring to soften it and let it sort of melt and settle -- this was poular years ago and still done occasionally -- it does work if you do the procedure well, and of course its cheap, but you anneal the spring and it will break at the worse possible moment, then you are screwed.
