Default Humming noise in car wile driving

Hello all, I have a 2002 camaro 3.8 5 speed with 56000 miles one it. Wile I am driving down the road, thier is a humming noise in the car. The tone gets "higher" as I increase speed and gets "lower" as I decrease speed. Originaly I thought it might be the tires?? I don't know if it is comming from the front or rear. I have not checked the rear diff fluid. Your help would be aprieciated

Does it sound like this......hmmmmmmmmmmmmm? Is it a "whiney" sort of hum?
Could be your rear gears, either from worn bearings in the differential, or worn outer wheel bearings putting an improper load on the ring & pinion gears. You really need to know for sure what area the hum is coming from.

I guess it sounds like, when I'm decelerating one of those old air raid sirens just not neerly as loud haha, but the noise does not intensify if I give it gas or let off, and the noise is comming from the rear end

Check the oil level in the rearend. Or better yet, change it if it's never been.

Go post the question in another thread like 4th gen, this isn't the place for questions like that.

On another note, welcome to the forum!

This question, and it's answers, can pertain to any year car. Being in general tech can broaden the reader base. As you were!
