Default got a question

i'll be cruising along and all of a sudden ,my car hicups.when it does this, the tach drops about 200 rpm's,then it comes right back up.it happens real quick.it's like its losing power for a second.it does it at different rpm's and it does it every minute or so.it might do this at 2000rpm's every minute or it might not, very erratic.i dont know if this is a fuel or a firing problem.the carb is a holley750 double pumper.i had issues with this carb wanting to hesitate and bog down but i fixed that problem buy changing power valves and adjusting the accelerating pumps.my distributor is a all new hei.could something be breaking down inside the distributor.i had ign.modules go out and they dont fire a lick when this happens.i've always heard they work or they dont ,no in between(ign.module).could it be a plug breaking down.i cant hear it doing it at idle, but the cam is hitting and that makes it hard to hear.i dont know what else to check.i sure would appreciate any input.

May want to check for the float sticking closed and allowing the bowl to empty out before allowing more fuel in.

If you have a spare carb, put that on there and see how it does. a year is enough time for something to go wrong.
