What year is yours? Here's a pic of my 91. After getting it this far, I decided it better to drop the tank to finish the job the right way. As you can see (and can't), the hard lines travel to the back, go left and drop down along the side of the tank with no rubber connections between. The sending unit/pump assembly absolutely will not come out without cutting all the hard lines, which I didn't want to do. I posted what I did a while ago and can give you the link if you want any further info.
