RE: Fuel Problem ! ! !
on the painless harness there is only 1 wire thats supposed to be hooked so it gets power when its hot in run and start.
thank you very much for bringing that up. i finally realized what the problem is. I have the wire thats supposed be hot in start and run plugged into an accessory spot in the fuse block which probably has no power going to it when i turn the engine over. [&:]
too bad i just went out and bought another ESC

Well I hope that works out to be the problem. The ignition module I was refering to is in the distributor. The ESC works with the knock sensor to adjust the ignition timing. Maybe you can return it if you did not install it.

yep, that was the problem. it started right up (and is louder then hell with the exhaust coming straight out of the headers). i cant believe i didnt think of that when i pluged it into the fuse block, or think of that when i first had the problem. it turned out to be the simplest thing.
thank you for your help

Why do you say its not enough? Maybe its the volume that is too low. I did a 350 TBI into an 87 El Camino with a 14 psi pump and it was fine. It also had enough volume to make it work.
I have gotten the wrong pumps before. I did a pump assembly in a later 454 pick up. It started fine but as it run down the road it ran like poop. The parts house sent me a pump for a 350. It had the pressure but not the volume

actually i think the pump will do fine. i just ran out of gas so thats probably the reason why it seemed it wasnt being fed enough .
Mad Mike, by volume do you mean the volume of gas that can be pushed through the diameter of the outlet tube of the pump? I have al the same thickness fuel line as of the stock metal fuel lines on the motor that came out of the caprice.
