Want to know something else...You can spend a lot of money and you are NOT going to BEEf up a 10-bolt with the small 7.625 dia dr gear.. Also 3:73 gears are not going to add any strength.

Ok, I apologize Black. I just don't like it when people tell me something I already know. However, since you were so kind to answer my topic, please fell free to elaborate. You might just enlighten me on something I didn't know.

I have one question, with that amount of RWHP do you race your car at the strip???
If not just keep the stock 10-bolt 3:42 and don't do anything dumb with the 6-sp.
However if you race the car and want a rear that will hold up to that use. You have two options, one would be a aftermarket 12-bolt and two a Ford 9" with both available for 4th gen cars. Now these options are expensive. The 12-bolt with upgrades (3:73/4:11 gears) could cost about $2500+, but would hold up to abuse even with slicks. The Ford 9" is less expensive and will do the job but it has a weight disadvantage. Do some research on these and see if that is the route you want to go.
