Default diagnostic codes

Has anyone check the diagnostic on their 02 model camaros? When I tried the security light did not flash like I thought it was supose to and there was no tones. I am not using a diagnostic equipment only the diagnostic check where you take the fuse out for the radio and turn the ignition on and off a couple times, I wrote down the exact procedure dont remember it at the current moment. So any suggestions??

The best is to get an OBDII scanner. Some parts stores such as Auto Zone will scan your car for you, and I think they might do it freee of charge.

Most ODBII cars have to be scanned to read codes. If you intend to do your own work, you should invest in a ODBII scan tool, or at least a code reader. Auto Xray makes a reasonably priced scan tool that does averything except ABS & Traction control.
