Default broken pushrod

i have a problem, my 1977 camaro lt broke one of its pushrods. it started as a lite tap so i pulled the valve covers and noticed two rocker arms loose and one was missing the push rod all togther so i pull the intake and find two lifters laying in the galley and half a pushrod i can't seem to find the rest of it. is it possible for it to make it to the oilpan with out coming in contact with the crank or rods because i didn't here anything but that tapping also if the cam broke it do you think it damaged the cam some advice would be appreciated

It is very possible that the pushrods could've gone into the pan through the lifter gally drain holes. As far as coming in contact with the crank, it is always a possibility. The cam could have caused the damage. I would take the oil filter off and cut it open to see what is inisde it.

It'll have to be lifted.
