blinker help

i have a 98 camaro and when i turn my blinker on it stays on it does not flash (i have replaced the the bulbs), but when i turn my hazard lights on they flash and make the noise. i have found a little black box behind the cd player that makes the blinking noise. this box also controls the headlights. should i replace the box? what is it called?

RE: blinker help

Replace the flasher module. There are two: one for the hazards, and one for the blinkers. That is why your hazards still flash. The one for the blinkers is under the dash (by the pedals) on almost inline with the steering wheel (actually just a little to the right of it). It isn't behind the CD player and does not control the headlights...
