none. in some instances, you may lose some if the cat starts to get plugged up. i took mine off a while ago, and noticed it smelled better and got a tiny bit of throttle response to it.

If the pump is belt driven, you may gain a some power. If the pump is elecrical, there will be no power gain, as the pump only runs for a few minutes when the car is first started.

thanks guys. hey pete, got another question for you.......my 87 z28 is plain jane. i don't know why anyone would build this car the way they did. its crap. standard camaro. standard junk. z28, better junk. iroc, all bells and whistles. my car has crank windows. manual seats. non-tilt steering. i can handle the windows and seats. how hard is it or can it be done to put tilt steering in this car?

I am not Pete but all you got to do is get a tilt column and swap them over. Its best to get one from another Camaro that way you know the plate that bolts to the firewall will fit right.
Its just remove a bolt from under the hood at the bottom of the column itself, disconnect the wires under the dash, remove the bolts on the plate to the firewall, remove the two nuts on the bracket and its out. If ya got an automatic there is also an shifter lock cable going to the switch.
